This did not perturb Drew Bilbe who with his business partner Troy Douglas went ‘all in’ in the burgeoning area of wellness drinks with the launch of Nexba. “It certainly felt like people were looking at Troy & I and thinking ‘what license, do you have to play in FMCG, when you have no background, no experience in what you’re doing. And you’re going to have to learn everything along the way.’ The way I look back at that now, is that naivety is part of the reason that we were and are being successful, because if you know all the challenges you’re going to face, then sometimes that’s going to have an impact on you, and you’re not going to want to go ahead with it. But if you have the mentality of, yes, we’re going to face things, but we’re going to overcome it, then you’re much more likely to be successful.”
